Company Overview: Paragon is a leading provider of recovery services for P&C insurance carriers and self-insured entities. We specialize in the identification and recovery of subrogation opportunities, liability deductibles, and other loss sensitive claim assets. Responsibilities:

  • Provide employee relations guidance to employees and management within scope of position; identify and actively respond with sensitivity to the needs of the employee and other business leaders
  • Supports the day-to-day Human Resources transactions in collaboration with other members of the HR Team to ensure compliance.

    Educate employees with regard to benefit coverage, concerns, claims processing, etc.
  • Assist in benefit renewals, additions, modifications or discontinuations. Participate in regular audits of 401K, self-administered billing and other benefit plans to ensure accuracy.
  • Become a liaison between employees and insurance company to resolve benefit issues.
  • Process employee benefit enrollments, changes and terminations.
  • Manage new employee onboarding.
  • Manage FMLA or other related leaves of absence
  • Prepare payroll bi-weekly for all employees and audit payroll reports as needed to ensure accuracy.
  • Facilitate and develop employee development plans and training as needed.
  • Perform year end processing activities and reporting related to payroll and benefits.
  • Generate reports as requested related to benefits participation, new hire, turnover, attendance, recordkeeping, government requirements, etc.
  • Develops basic understanding of firm's business and policies/procedures to identify issues and provide constructive suggestions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with a record of high achievement a plus
  • SHRM Certification highly preferred
  • Possess a high degree of interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and payroll systems or other HR programs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong listening skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
  • Advanced skill level in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical skills with high detail orientation and organizational skills
  • Problem resolution and critical thinking skills

Compensation:

  • Salary is $80,000 - $90,000 per year (DOE)
