Our Trust & Safety team's commitment is to keep our online community safe. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.

It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance.
Some content viewed may violate our community guidelines which include but are not limited to bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; murder.

As a Program Manager on our North America Safety Integrity team, you are the glue that ensures our policies, programs, and systems work together across our apps to protect consumers and prevent abuse. You work to push projects and operational changes forwards, implement policy changes, and define new processes. You will coordinate between product managers, operations teams, and policy specialists to actually get things done. You will be working with a variety of stakeholders across the globe, including Product, Policy, Operations, Communications, and Legal to prevent safety incidents from proliferating on our platform.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners (content policy, product management, data analytics, operations, engineering) to identify, assess and resolve safety-related issues in our products.
  • Lead new projects from problem definition to final execution, and drive principled methods to ensure our workflows are optimized.
  • Address various scenarios such as video, comments, follow/like, accounts, etc. with both qualitative and quantitative approaches to detect potential risks in the global community, then craft features and strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Identify gaps or opportunities with processes, develop hypotheses to test, and use those results to inform best practices and operating procedures.
  • Own and manage the communication plan for risks and solutions related to new initiatives and projects.
  • Your ability to work in a high tempo environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role.
  • Your resilience and commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role.
Qualifications
  • Minimum BA/BS degree
  • 6+ years of experience in project management, operations, or trust and safety.
  • Experience in a Product or Trust & Safety Operations role with knowledge of issue areas like Minor Safety, Bullying, Integrity and Authenticity, Hate Speech, and Violence.
  • Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams, such as product or policy, to create and execute new projects.
  • Ability to work with data science and analytics teams to measure the success of product and/or process changes and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and make decisions with limited information in high-pressure situations.
  • Attention to detail, highly self-driven, and results-oriented.
  • Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience managing complex projects from ideation to completion at technology company.
  • Knowledge of Trust and Safety issues, policies, or moderation processes.
  • Experience working with international partners in different time zones.
  • Familiarity with online trends and cultural norms/sensitivies within North America.
  • Comfort with interpreting large volumes of data. Familiarity with SQL is a bonus.

Job Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $100000 - $196000 annually.



Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
