The Associate Client Configuration Analyst plays a key role in the new business implementation process, ensuring proper and accurate system configuration and workflow to meet client requirements. Supports underwriting, client services and operations teams to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate client requirements and determine the appropriate system configuration and any needed functionality. The Associate Client Configuration Analyst understands business problems and/or requirements, recommends alternatives to meet/solve those requirements using existing system functionality and provides excellent support to client services and underwriting to enable them to best serve our customers and assure the growth of our organization.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works with Underwriting, Client Services, Project management and/or Operations teams, in the implementation of new business and other enterprise projects involving configuration of our vision and dental systems.
  • Analyzes external and internal customer requirements against current system functionality, performs and ensures accuracy of system configuration pre and post implementation to match the intent of the deal exactly.
  • Maintains system configuration for existing Dental and Vision clients and with high accuracy and efficiency performs any requested changes for renewals, benefits, financials, claims rules, etc.
  • Runs queries and/or reports to verify system configuration accuracy and data integrity.
  • Ensures tickets or issues/questions submitted via e-mail are assigned to the appropriate resource and researched in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoots, researches, and corrects assigned tickets/issues that may be related to system configuration, to determine root causes including process and validation gaps, training, system defects, etc.
  • Works with IT systems analysts and developers to help solve system defects, providing subject matter expert input into use cases, as well as supporting testing of new system functionality or hotfixes related to the Dental and Vision systems configuration.
  • Provides insight about system functionality to internal customers and run reports or queries to extract information related to system configuration to enable them to make better decisions or assist in their day-to-day operational workflows.
  • Supports total quality and continuous improvement by recommending standards, procedures, and process improvements.
  • Adhere to DentaQuest business processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA degree or equivalent and 2-4 years of work experience in insurance, business or related field or equivalent combination
  • Understands how various systems and applications function to support business objectives
  • Solid experience using MSOffice applications, including SharePoint
  • Ability to use SQL and other query tools in the development of scripts of low to medium complexity is a plus
  • Demonstrates excellent analytical skills with a strong working knowledge of the business to effectively translate business needs to process, and system functionality

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment
  • Flexible schedule may require working overtime or on weekends to meet project deadlines
  • Flexibility to travel for up to 25% of the time
  • Ability to sit at computer terminal for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to operate personal desktop PC
